"Progressives" with "authority" always are, which is why the cowards don't want anyone capable of fighting back and knocking them on their asses. And it's why when they run schools (and they do almost all of them) a kid defending himself gets punished along with the aggressor.

The minute a school 'administrator' told my child to respond to bullying by, "being less of the problem and more of the solution" is the very minute I'd begin teaching him/her how to become the most effective 'solution' s/he could possibly be.
The minute an 'administrator' reprimanded my child for not smiling in such an environment would be the minute I began a crusade to ensure that these tyrants had much, much less to smile about themselves.
