Suicide Barriers Going Up At Golden Gate Bridge After Over 1.5K Deaths [More]Yes, of course "universal background checks," but even more importantly in this case, mental health denials (just forget about that pesky "due process")...
And whatever you do, especially noting where this is, don't forget to close up that "boyfriend loophole."
Good thing there's unlimited funds for this over-budget boondoggle.

And best laid "sanctuary" schemes 'n all that, but you gotta wonder how many of the jumpers were illegals... and why, if "progressive" rule is so darned wonderful, so many would rather take the plunge.

I'm not sure what's up with this article. There have been suicide nets on the GG bridge for decades. I was stationed in the Bay Area when I was in the Coast Guard. It seemed that the folks at Station Golden Gate was always fishing what was left of someone out of the bay after they jumped from that bridge. The city put the nets up during the time I was stationed up there, much to the relief of the USCG...
What a waste of the people's money. $200 million invested in Treasury notes would yield multiple millions per year, more than enough to provide around-the-clock professional psychiatric counseling at both ends of the bridge available to all, those suicidal or merely troubled with no intention of killing themselves. The presence of the net will not heal anyone. The truly suicidal will jump elsewhere or find some other means to prematurely end their lives. The ones who will most benefit from the net will be the manufacturers of the net, those who install the net and those who maintain the net.

Suicide? By jumping? Off the Golden Gate Bridge? I'm not sure I fully grasp the concept.
Could Nancy Pelosi help me out by demonstrating what we're NOT supposed to do? That would be a tremendous public service.
