Expired FFL Raises Further Questions about ATF Oversight of Gun Store

“There is a gap a mile wide,” the legal source said about how documentation discovered to date fails to account for how the name on the FFL was changed. Yet the store continued to operate and continued to receive gun shipments under the “new” FFL, all under close ATF oversight. [More]
It looks like ATF issued a license they knew they had no legal authority to do, for reasons we will continue to explore in upcoming installments.

If you missed part one, about ATF's related banking irregularities, you can read it here.

No Lie Too Outrageous

Despite the media’s framing of this as a terrorist attack, we are very clear that this terror is completely homegrown, born from the anti-Black white supremacy, patriarchy and homophobia of the conservative right... [More]
I guess facts are racist, too.

Gosh, what is it about Democrat strongholds, and why do they always seem to want the hated overseers to nonetheless be the "Only Ones" armed...?

As for that bodyguard thang, I wouldn't begrudge him access to whatever means of personal defense he deems appropriate except for him making things more difficult for those not in his strata.

I guess the fact that this guy is one of the richest oligarchs in the world is something I just can't wrap my value-based sensibilities around. I keep coming back to  a grammar school sentence that places me firmly in a different age, because our masters act like we've evolved beyond such basics:
Oil, steel, and wheat — these are the sinews of industrialization.
I don't think I ever saw that attributed to an author.

Good thing we don't need industrialization any more, especially since my factory worker and foreman/manager years are far behind me.

Say, who wants to play Candy Crush Saga...?

About Those Red Warnings

Oh look, I got a corporate non-response and washing of the hands over global giant Microsoft warning potential visitors against proceeding to this blog:

It's more than annoying -- noting that the reason given in Microsoft SmartScreen FAQs for the warning is an assessment of fraud or malicious software, and that such decisions to so characterize a website are made by employees/agents of Microsoft, it may even be libelous.

No, I'm not going to go to Bing.com and ask a general question of those with no skin in the game -- I'm looking into other options if this issue persists. So far, thankfully, most who contacted me on this say they're getting through OK. That said, this needs to be nipped in the bud NOW, lest all it takes is for some anti troll snitch to make an anonymous "report" and shut down alternative media.

Guns for Me But Not for Thee

Mission Statement

State Department staffers wrestled for weeks in December 2010 over a serious technical problem that affected emails from then-Secretary Hillary Clinton's home email server, causing them to temporarily disable security features on the government's own systems, according to emails released Wednesday. Access denied?

Access Denied

Just a heads up: Fox News links often result in access issues for some baffling reason, whether I put in the straight link or the one with the gobbledygook at the end. No idea what to do about that or why they make routing traffic to their site so inconvenient, but if it happens to you and you still have a burning desire to read the original story, copy and paste any quoted text in your search bar and that ought to give you a working link.

That's why if you send me a Fox link you'll note I often try to access the same or similar story from another site.

I'm doing this post so I have a reference link for Fox-sourced stories and don't have to keep explaining the whole thing over and over again.
