EXCLUSIVE: Feeding Frenzy

Meanwhile, a Gannett newspaper in New York published an interactive map with the addresses of gun permit holders, and another of their papers in Iowa published an editorial calling for repeal of the Second Amendment, declaring the NRA a terrorist organization, making ownership of semi-autos a felony, and killing gun owners who refused to give theirs up. Really. [More]
"Feeding Frenzy," a summary of some of the more egregious assaults on gun owners over the past few weeks, is my latest "Rights Watch" column for GUNS Magazine.

I have only one thing to add: There should also be ample rewards for those who rat out anyone who is hiding an assault weapon in his/her possession. [More]
Yet this person's Facebook page says "Self Employed. 25 years engraving firearms."

WTF?

I see she's also as historically ignorant as Piers Morgan.  And not just about technology, but about how kindly resistance units traditionally take to collaborators and snitches.

Love, Indian Style

Women in Delhi are rushing to apply for gun licenses in the aftermath of the gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old medical student who died in hospital last weekend, but most will be left defenseless as a result of India’s strict gun control laws. [More]
Sorry, gals. That's the way Rekha and Sanjay love it. So much that they're demanding we import it here.

All things considered, that's hardly surprising. [Read]

Maybe we will also disagree about the fact that if the government decides to go door-to-door, you and your arms, no matter how powerful, stand no chance. [More]
Not very imaginative, is this no-line-in-the-sand coward?

Funny-- as final as he makes it sound, he doesn't list any credentials to assure us his opinion in this matter is informed.

I thought the threat of being killed did that.

Safer for the person being shot. Good grief.

LAPD endangers selves and public with gun safety violation at ‘buyback’

But here’s the one question I really wanted to ask, and since all “official” media members covering the event are evidently oblivious, someone sure needs to: What the hell is one of Beck’s “Only Ones” (and where that term came from is especially significant here) doing with his booger hook on the bang switch at the “buyback”? [More
Today's Gun Rights Examiner commentary looks at LAPD's Orwellian definition of "public safety." Oh, and I also propose a new "gun control" law at the end that we ought to all get behind--just to show that we can be "reasonable" when it comes to "commonsense" gun safety measures.  Matter of fact, I forgot to add that I think violation of it ought to be a felony.

Tell me their "Only Ones" simulation didn't present a perfect target with no danger of harming anyone else in the line of fire:
"What we've learned about these active shooting events is that the goal of the shooter is to harm as many people as possible."

No, duh. And there's a difference between training and conditioning.
"We need to take out own personal safety seriously."
Some of us do take our own personal safety seriously, Gail Orr-Smith. We also take seriously anyone who would impede our right and ability to preserve that safety. What we don't take seriously are incompetents dishing out the stupid like they're some kind of authority.
