The Composite President

Who do you love?

Sorry, wrong link.

Why the hell would you lie about someone you dated?  That is, unless you were just a damned liar? Or covering something up?

It kind of gives those people looking into his origins a bit more credibility. What else in this damned liar's covered-up supposed past is also made up?

Gunwalker documentary producer introduces project to national radio audience

Of note, there are currently 152 project backers yet over 800 Facebook “likes.” Sticking with the analogy for a moment, imagine Captain Parker and only a handful of men turning to see “supporters,” vitally needed if any kind of stand were to be made, but unwilling to do more than look out their windows at them and give them a “thumbs up.”   Imagine yet more unwilling to do even that, and instead drawing shut the curtains. We're the Only Ones Knowledgeable and Helpful Enough

The attacks, including a violent sexual assault on an incapacitated, bound and blindfolded teenager captured on video, took place just feet from where his Moorestown police uniform hung on his bedroom door...Colleagues and other law enforcement officials who worked with him had expressed shock when Melia was arrested, describing him as a knowledgeable and helpful officer. Yeah, he sounds like it.

Stonewalling and Cover-Up?

The congressional report said that an ATF email indicated that ATF officials in Phoenix who knew the two assault rifles came from the controversial operation withheld the information from Mexican officials until June 2011. [More]

And just an fyi,William LaJeunesse reported on the connection almost a year ago.

Point Noted and Understood

In response to my new GUNS Magazine piece:
It is my understanding from the Heller trial that the finding of individual right was 9/0. The court in turn used that as basis for a 5/4 decision to overturn DC’s gun ban regulations
Yes, and look what four of the Justices were willing to cede passed "individual rights"-recognizing muster. Dan's post-Heller proposals seem consistent with their worldview.  As for his pre-Heller wishlist, who knows what natural or man-made event would be disastrous enough to  exploit as justification for "national security" measures along those lines? Or alternately, who knows what critical mass of the electorate is enough to let those who would rule drop all pretenses and do anything they wish?

The Muse

Aside from the fact that I'm dying to know if any walked guns made it into this stupid piece of...uh...art, let me get this straight: His inspiration was his "peaceful" friend boinking another man's wife and then getting killed by the jealous husband delivering "a blow to the head with a blunt instrument"? [More]

Seems to me this guy's "sculpture" materials could be used as pretty lethal assault weapons. If somebody was coming at you with one, what could possibly be used to persuade him to break off the attack so that no one ended up hurt?

Michigan Reports 38 Deaths, Including the Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer [More
Well shoot, gun-free Chi-Town had over three times that many in just the first three month's of Emperor Rahm's reign.

I see the lion's share of the MI deaths are suicides.  Shall we examine VPC's wet dream about the superiority of government-approved "Only Ones"?
A recent study revealed that New York City officers kill themselves at a rate of 29 per 100,000 a year. The rate of suicide in the general population is 12 per 100,000.

I'm no fan of My Man Mitthead, but if Sweetie here wants her voice heard that badly, I think we ought to know who she is.  I'll bet with a little digging, we'd get a portrait of a real headcase, that is, your typical regressive activist.

I saw one of those indignant loony-tunettes with environmentalcase stickers plastered all over her beater car, and it was evident she just didn't grok the irony of the oil-burner she was driving putting out more choking, grey exhaust than anyone else on the road.
