A Good First Day

This is 24 hours or so after I announced the project on Gun Rights Examiner. But it's just the beginning and there's a very long way to go.

Please keep the buzz going and growing by sharing this link far and wide.

Please help. Every little bit does.

And thank you to those of you who have.

Young Turks

No doubt looking for Young Armenians...[Watch]

That Michael Shure certainly is an idiot.  And Dan Gross, name just one person in "the gun lobby" who is "putting the guns in the hands consciously of dangerous people in the name of an industry."

Will right questions be asked at today’s 'ATF Roundtable’?

As this will be a “pen-and-pad” event only, with no recording devices allowed, we will, unfortunately, not be able to hear any sputtering if those questions are asked. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes there may be a curve thrown in with all those softballs.

An Open Debate

Should People Be Allowed to Carry Guns Openly? [More]
I'm gonna have to jump on some of my friends here--I didn't even know about this US News and World Report "Debate Club" or their participation in it--otherwise I'd have been calling attention to it.

What this really reveals is open and closed minds.  Note the naysayers like the no-joshin' Josh twins--they don't want to allow concealed carry, either.  Gee, and their opinions mean so much to me.

It looks like you can vote up the opinions you like and vote down the ones you don't.  The results as of this writing sure look like a grassroots vs. AstroTurf indicator to me...

We're the Only Ones Luring Enough

Prosecutors have charged a New Jersey police officer with attempted aggravated sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl he met while assisting her family in an unrelated police matter. [More]

How very helpful of him.

And once more into the breach with the Eternal Question...

Lifting Our Burdens

ATF & U.S. DOJ Plan to Remove CLEO Signature Requirement for NFA Firearms Transfers [Read]
This is a good first step. Now just get the feds out of the process and we'll really be making progress.

Vanderboegh Medical Update

I had business to attend to this morning, and was unable to receive phone calls.  When I was able to reestablish communications, there was a voice mail message from Mike--he said he "had a bad night last night" and "they're taking me into the emergency room."

I called his number 10 minutes ago and his wife Rosey answered.  She said he's having trouble breathing, they're worried some fluid may be getting into his lungs and they're taking him in for another CAT scan.

These folks have been through a lot. Now would be a pretty good time to send another plea up the chain of command.

We're the Only Ones Passing the Savings On To YOU Enough

A former Sheriff's deputy under indictment on a battery of gun and explosive charges may have sold numerous handguns he made from mismatched and illegally obtained gun parts, the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office revealed today. [More]
The amnesty offer reminds me of the story of the old man and the talking frog.

I'd rather have the gun.

The Big Easy

Hey it's a lot easier than addressing the big, hard issues...[Read]

We Get Mail

Well, not us, but hopefully someone...

So far, two letters have been published. Perhaps there's no need, because most newspapers are fair and balanced, and their readerships are well-informed on our issue?

Yes, I intend to keep harping on this

Take Five

It was kind of like how the Romans used to, you know, conquer villages in the Mediterranean. They’d go in to a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw and they’d crucify them.

Then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years. [More]
What an insight into the minds of these arrogant, demented freaks. Not that anyone aware of what collectivists in power historically do when they can get away with it should be surprised.

"Monopoly of violence," anyone?

This Day in History: April 26

They have a point to settle first, whether we shall make Peace with a British King or a British Congress. [More]
