Provocateur Troll: "Kill the governor!"

North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue, that is, in a comment left on today's GRE post...

A recurring troll may have gone too far this time (click image to enlarge):
Evil anti-defense fanatics trying to smear us as violent, and provocateurs trying to either pass themselves off as one of us or incite something are pretty much employing a tired old tactic, but that doesn't stop genius boy here. It's all he's got.

Thing is, I can't say for certain that he's not serious--can you? If he said this about the president, I would fully expect a Secret Service investigation.

And while I have not reported this to law enforcement, reporting it to WoG/GRE readers is what I do--if this somehow catches the attention of someone tasked with investigating terror threats, well, I guess they'll look into it. And I guess if they ask me about this, I'll have to show them all the countless other comments I've deleted, with dates, times and links, and let them know about other websites where someone with an identical MO has also left comments that make me believe they're from the same individual. Maybe with all those records to check, they'll be able to home in on this sick piece of refuse and identify him.

I imagine if someone wanted to contact Gov. Bev Perdue's office about this, they could do that here. And I'm sure if her investigators thought it worth following up on, they'd know who in the federal government to consult about the interstate nature of this cyberthreat.

Hi Guys!

Looking for "war on guns" are we?

Thanks for reminding me I haven't talked about you for a while.

I miss you, too.

We're the Only Ones Custodial Enough

Nearly 90,000 raped in lockup, study finds [More]
Would you look at that--a population under total state control, disarmed, guarded, watched, confined...

Anyone who doesn't think sadistic degradation doesn't fit into the old behavior control punishment-for-displeasing us-or-we-just-want-to-break-you toolkit...

Not to mention the entertainment potential!

Kind'a makes one wonder why they should allow themselves to go quietly...particularly if they haven't done anything but claim their rights.

We're the Only Ones Confident Enough

Marin County sheriff's deputies turned a Taser on Peter McFarland when he refused to go to the hospital and allegedly became belligerent. [More]
And, of course:
We are confident the actions of our deputies will be found to have been both within the law and department policy.
I guess if I were so inclined and officially protected, I'd be pretty confident, too.

I talked about the insane sign policy as a supplemental feature here (see "The Other Guys" blurb).

Dave Workman told me he was putting together a GRE column for it, so I'll make sure to link to it when he posts it.

UPDATE: Dave talks about it, among other things, here.

We're the Only Ones "Hot Dog!" Enough

The case caused an uproar last summer, when the Metropolitan Crime Commission released photographs that showed the destroyed inside of Lewis' K-9 vehicle. The car seats had been torn to shreds by Lewis' dog, Primo, who was left in the vehicle in late May, presumably becoming more distressed as the temperature inside the vehicle rose. [More]
Again...?

Maybe I ought to make this a monthly feature...

The Only Thing Stupider then a Left-Wing Gun Grabber is "Conservative" Terry Jeffrey

The only thing stupider than allowing a known foreign terrorist into the United States may be allowing that terrorist to buy guns. [More]
I was planning on tearing this dumb ass chowderhead neocon a new one today in my GRE column, but the Hurricane Earl story preempted it.

Maybe tomorrow...but it does look like some of the commentators are doing a pretty good job of things.

And it's not exactly like I've kept my views a secret...

We're the Only Ones Getting the Thumbs Up Enough

A police officer will not face charges related to a 3-year-old boy shooting himself in the thumb outside a Gastonia liquor store with the off-duty cop’s personal firearm. [More]
No, of course not. Did anyone really think he would?

Which is fine, because we'll need this guy out there catching North Carolina scofflaws out there who are bearing arms in defiance of the Hurricane Earl emergency edict...you know, the one that exempts "Only Ones"--even those who let their small children shoot themselves--because of their superior trustworthiness and training...

North Carolina declared 'gun free zone' in anticipation of Hurricane Earl

Government, of course, as usual, has things exactly Bizarro-World backwards. It's when the security of a free state is imperiled that the right of the people to keep and bear arms is most necessary. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at an immediate choice confronting gun owners where they can see for themselves how serious they are about personally claiming their rights.
