Q&A

Q: Where in the Constitution is this authorized?

A: Are you serious?

Any other questions?

We're the Only Ones Making Hip Shots Enough

Utah officer accidentally shoots self in hip [More]
Ah, another nominee for the coveted Lee Paige Medallion, in recognition of the "Only Ones professional enough" to carry a gun.

On the plus side, at least the article doesn't tell us "the gun went off."

Take the Linda Pillo Challenge!

Chief Pillo made a claim that you just don't hear all that often anymore--that:

"Assault weapons can also be easily converted to fully automatic machine guns." [More]
I think area gun owners ought to make a point of dogging her at press conferences she appears at, and ask if we can get her all the equipment, tools and materials needed to do the job, will she video-demonstrate a conversion?

We're the Only Ones Camera-Shy Enough

Officer who tried to seize woman's camera is fighting 15-day suspension for disobeying sergeant [More]
Read what this punk "Only One" thug did to a citizen.

And he's fighting a suspension?

He's lucky he's not fighting a mob. If he keeps it up, some day he may be.

We're the Only Ones Slap-Happy Enough

Murrah’s mother and a longtime friend urged Sturns to grant him probation, saying he is a good father whose 5-year-old son would be devastated if his father were jailed. [More]
Y'know, my family would be devastated too--not so much if I got sent to jail for such an offense, but more because I would have presumed to be the "Only One" authorized to spank a stranger's naked butt in the first place.

What Advice Would You Give This New Gun Buyer?

Besides which, the whole "list" question" assumes government will end up going door-to-door confiscating. If such a thing happens, my assessment is most of us (or you) will probably have enough advance indicators to see what's going down, the logistics of mass national confiscation being what they are with the sheer number and widespread distribution of gun owners. If it ever does happen, all this talk is going to be academic anyway, and you're going to have some choices to make that will require a lot more soul-searching than taking advice from some guy on the internet. This Day in History: January 30

On January 30, 1778, General Washington gave a report on the result of a General Court martial held on January 23, when a soldier of the artillery was tried for desertion and stealing a horse from General McIntosh. The soldier was acquitted of the desertion charges, but found guilty of theft and was sentenced to receive 100 lashes on his back and have "half his pay stopped monthly until General McIntosh is fully satisfied".
