Good Riddance

U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan is resigning to take a job in the private sector. [More]
Don't let the door hit you in the be-hind, Maximum Mike.

Can he make it away from the trough? Hey, maybe Carl or John can get you a job?

Then again, there's always Crime Gun Solutions...you know, these guys...

"We Can Do Both"

We can do both. We can curb the proliferation of assault weapons — without infringing on Second Amendment rights — and address a culture spawning too many violent teens. We have to. [More]
No "we" can't, Ernest Hooper, if by "we" you include "you."

Because "we," which includes "I" won't let you.

It's real simple about "a culture spawning violent teens. "Everybody's clear on how babies are made, right?

Same thing with guns: It boils down to self control.

Now, if your theory is that somehow making me responsible for paying for the poor choices of others, that taking away my rights will make one bit of difference for people who refuse to live like rational and responsible free human beings, my answer is "No." And I don't think it would be a stretch to include some friends in that response and call it "our" answer.

That's not our/my problem. I suggest you not make it our/my problem.

Because "we," including "I" see an idiot like you, meaning you personally, coming up with utter crap like NAACP gun buy-backs, and realize you don't have the first clue as to what the hell you're talking about. And "we," including "I" have no intention of letting a liberty incompetent have any say in "our" unalienable rights.

Did'ja Hear the One About the "Gun Lover in Pittsburgh"?

That's how Aida Ekberg characterized him. [More]

She tells us we "know these news stories are not helping the view some Americans have of gun owners," and reveals:
I personally wish that no one in America owned a gun, for hunting or otherwise; I've seen the twisted and sick glee hunters get from killing animals, and it makes me wonder sometimes about what they would do to a human being if given the chance.
Actually, Aida, I do not give a damn about how "some Americans" view me--not if they're anything like you. You've just relieved us of any responsibility to care what you think.

It not only sounds like you have a bit of projection going on, but you also reveal some unresolved Daddy issues we really didn't need to know about, but are nonetheless instructive in explaining those all those weird noises and twitches.

But the government needs to do something, right? Anything?
Still, it's obvious that the government needs to do something. Perhaps government officials just need to work out a way to better control gun ownership with stricter rules on who can own a gun and what gun owners have to do to earn the right to possess one. They also need to put a limit on the number of weapons gun owners can possess and develop stricter penalties for sellers who don't abide by the laws when selling weapons. It may or may not help, but they need to take some kind of action.
Go away, you immoral neurotic fool.

Not So Much Cynicism as Resolve in the Face of Reality

We have in our midst millions of one-man militias - trusting no one, cynical about life in a changing society, convinced of the likelihood of more dysfunction and gun violence, and convinced, above all, that few in elected office have the guts to do anything about it. [More]
Start acting like you believe that, Dan, and stop with the hand-wringing and wishful subversive thinking, and you just may be able to co-exist here. Because we will not disarm.

We don't insist that you agree with us. What we do insist on is that you leave us the hell alone.

"Voluntary Coast Guard"

According to Al Sharpton, that term "may be more apt" to describe Somali pirates. [More]

You know, kind of like Obama's "voluntary" service plan?

Does anyone really think such a diseased mind has any intention of letting us live in peace?

If You Can't Dazzle them with Brilliance...

...baffle them with BS. [More]

Good Lord, these idiots are in denial.

And what happened to George Quick's escalation theory, you know, that this will force the pirates to come up with more effective weapons to overcome a threat? George, are you really that stupid or are you just a paid liar with no self respect? Is there a third alternative we should know about?

Faux News. How the left continues to get by with the fiction that they are "conservative" is one of the great frauds of our time. And it's amazing how many Kosbots and Huffpovians indignantly believe it.

Not really, If they had a brain in their heads, they wouldn't be Kosbots and Huffpovians in the first place.

CNN Goes Straight to the Source on Right Wing Terror

Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks extremist groups, agreed that Obama's election may have boosted membership in such groups...[More]

DHS on the Left

See, the right is comprised of crazy violent Nazi militia extremists.

The left are basically hackers. [More]

We all believe that, right?

Fun with Bradys

Newbius shows us they can't handle the truth. [More]

But showing the class and fairness we've come to expect of them, they feel free to comment on his site while denying him a forum on theirs.

Why not wander on over and say "Good morning"?

Why does Homeland Security's Gun Smuggling Report Mislead Law Enforcement?

The government has no business keeping reports like these under wraps, particularly when they are used to undermine fundamental protections against government infringement articulated in the Bill of Rights. This is information citizens are entitled to know about, and the shame of it is, we won't get it from any of the investor-funded globe-spanning "news" corporations with their staffs of researchers, reporters, editors, producers--you know, the "government watchdogs." You're getting it from one guy with extremely limited reach. Forget most Americans--most gun owners will never see this. If you want them to, it's up to you to share the link to this column with them. [More]
I don't know that anything is going to happen with this, but you might want to read and share the link for today's Gun Rights Examiner column while you can.

Also see lies from Mexico, the truth from Mexico and a bid for UN/global dominion over American gun laws. And, of course, get the latest from my fellow GREs.

Anybody want to help me bang pots and turn on lights?

This Day in History: April 15

April 15, 1777, it was "Resolved" by Congress "that the Appellations, 'Congress'' own,' Washington Life Guards,' etc., are improper and ought not to be kept up; but that all troops should be on the same footing." [More]
