Vigilantes?

Alleged purse-snatcher, tackled by supermarket vigilantes, pleads innocent [More]
"Vigilantes"?

What the hell is wrong with The Patriot-Ledger?

Oh, yeah.

"Authorized Journalists."

We're the Only Ones Towed Enough

Yesterday the Secret Service vehicle used for Jenna Bush’s protection and surveillance was towed from Bush’s Federal Hill neighborhood for numerous unpaid parking tickets. [More]
There's so much one can infer about "Only Ones" from just this brief sentence, isn't there?

Gun Control in Action

Jordan said Mixon had an "extensive criminal history" and was wanted on a no-bail warrant.

"(Mixon) was on parole and he had a warrant out for his arrest for violating that parole. And he was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon," said Oakland police Deputy Chief Jeffery Israel.[More]
So wasn't it illegal for him to have guns? And carry them? And have an "assault weapon"? And kill?

Looks like it's time to disarm you and me some more.

But here's the real thing to keep our eye on:
About 20 bystanders taunted police.
There is an undercurrent of seething hatred. It's a powder keg out there. The citizen militia may yet need to discover itself when things explode.

Howard Nemerov
has more.

The Definitive Fudd

Just unload them and lock them up. [More]
No one is saying locks and safes don't have a place in overall options. But to recommend locking up your safety under all conditions is foolish and dangerous. It can enable terrible unintended consequences like pitchfork murders and dead grandmothers.

I don't see this Zumb...uh...Zimo guy acknowledging that, which makes him an unqualified "authority" to heed.

We're the Only Ones Getting Less from More Enough

More US police using gunfire detection system...

But former Boston police lieutenant Thomas Nolan questions whether the money spent on the technology could better be used to hire more police.

"The cops I talk to on the street think ShotSpotter is a joke," said Nolan, associate criminal justice professor at Boston University. [More]
But a sick and dangerous joke nonetheless, considering the overarching "Only One" surveillance society it "normalizes."

By the way, you know the relationship between Shotspotter and "The Black Arrow," don't you? You've read it, right?

We're the Only Ones Scaring You So Bad You Wet Yourself Enough

Shopkeepers say plainclothes cops barged in, looted stores & stole cash [More]
Big, brave men, protecting us all from tiny Zip-Lock bags.

What's the difference between Philadelphia "Only Ones" and sadistic, violent street thugs again?

It does kind of explain why they want "home rule" to override state firearms preemption, doesn't it?

Reflecting Poorly

The judge made a great ruling. Guns should be restricted when ever and where ever possible.

Bringing a concealed gun into a national park is simply ridiculous. I do not want some trigger happy yahoo packing a gun into a park where me and my family might be spending time.

The fact that commentators on this site are all for breaking the law reflects poorly on the gun rights movement, and only confirms the suspicion that restrictions on gun ownership is a positive for society. [More]
This is a comment to yesterday's Gun Rights Examiner post from the "Portland Enureti...uh...Progressive Examiner." Talk about a poor reflection. Hey, I don't get to choose who they let say what.

I thought you might want a chance to get your two cents in. I see Straightarrow has gone straight to the heart of the matter, as per his usual inimitable style...:)

Coming Thursday: 'Black Man with a Gun' Interview

I'm going to devote this column on Thursday to a very special interview--one where you will be able to directly participate. [More]
Kenn Blanchard will be my guest.

You will be able to ask him questions.

Please spread the word.

Also read the latest from my fellow GREs.

This Day in History: March 22

The little Folk are all happy I hope. May they continue so, to a good old Age. May they enjoy many happy, usefull and honourable Days. [More]
Do you think maybe parents not concerned with such things for themselves, let alone their offspring, might be the major part of our problem today...?
