Judge Says No Guns in Parks

A federal judge in Washington Thursday blocked enforcement of a Bush administration rule allowing people to carry loaded concealed weapons in national parks...

...The suit was filed by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, the National Parks Conservation Association and the Coalition of National Park Service Retirees. [More]
Colleen Kollar-Kotelly was a Clinton appointee to the federal bench, so it's no surprise she's a subversive anti-gun activist.

I'm sure the Brady's will be crowing. There will be a next step.

And ultimately, if we want to carry our guns anywhere, we will. It's simply a matter of do we want to badly enough.

Everyone has noticed the increase in trial balloons and probes on all kinds of gun fronts, right?

In Case Anyone Noticed...

...almost nine hours has elapsed since my last post.

I was up early to get my Gun Rights Examiner article written before taking youngest feral son Qusay to his tonisillectomy. He is fine, although I don't expect to see him screaming execution orders for at least the next few days. You wish you could take your kids' pain away and bear it yourself, but that's part of life they need to learn to deal with, and the pain meds and banana Popsicles do take the edge off. Anyway, he was a champ, very brave, and he's being stoic now. That's my boy.

I'm done in. Think I'll process the 200 emails waiting for me and maybe take a nap. That's it for today.

No Shortage of Gun Rights News

I'm playing catch-up with stories I have not had time to cover on Gun Rights Examiner because of breaking news. [More]

Among others things, I discuss the move to disarm pilots, the lie that Mexican cartels require Americans allow their rights to be infringed, the deployment of the Army after the shooting in Alabama, an upcoming Appleseed, an outrage at an Illinois school and the latest from Liberty Belles. Did I forget anything? Click on the dang link and find out.

You'll also find the latest from my fellow GREs.

Please read and share.

We're the Only Ones "Don't Call Me Norman, Call Me Chubsy-Ubsy" Enough*

A former Bellevue police officer fired for being overweight could be back patrolling the streets in a few months. [More]
Let's see--the Obese "Only One" did so poorly in shooting that his peers reported him? And he's deemed more gunworthy than you or I because he's been reinstated on a technicality?

Still, come to think of it, the way things are going, it may turn out to be advantageous if more of these guys can't shoot and can't physically perform...

* So you young 'uns know what I'm referring to...
